Scottish Operatic Baritone, Concert Soloist, and Ensemble Singer.
Glasgow based baritone Colin Murray is a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Given his start in singing through the National Youth Choir of Scotland, he has performed principal roles and covers with national opera companies in the UK, performed as a concert soloist around the UK and Europe and is an award winning ensemble singer. He is a former emerging artist at Scottish Opera. In addition to performing, Colin maintains a singing teaching practice and also regularly delivers singing workshops for organisations.
Opera Singer
Colin has a wealth of experience as a stage actor and singer in Operatic Productions, both as a principal singer and a cover. He has a Masters degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and is a former Emerging Artist at Scottish Opera.
Concert Soloist
Colin is an expert concert soloist with well over ten years experience appearing with choral societies throughout the UK. He also delivers recitals, championing Art Song in English.
Teacher
Colin has maintained a teaching practice since 2020, offering teaching and performance coaching to all voice types and age groups. He has also been a singing teacher in residence for the National Youth Choir of Scotland. He offers remote teaching as standard.
Workshops
Colin has regularly delivered singing workshops for choirs and organisations throughout his career, including sectional coaching for choirs and musicianship sessions for children of primary and secondary school age.
